✏️ Imagine my surprise when I went to grab Elijah and his family, only to find he’s in a whole family of women. As I gave them The Treatment ™️, I imagined how many talks his moms Emi and Asuka (yup, that’s the names they came with) had him about women not being possessions 🙄🤭 (Also, I love how they came out - I barely had to do anything at all ☺️)

While Elijah coasts on his sports scholarship, one might wonder if he’ll take the time to work on himself a bit? Considering we wants to be a good role model for his baby sister Layla, he certainly should.

It’s happening – the thing Carmine has spent her whole life dreaming about. She’s fully aware people think her interest in the mortuary arts is creepy, but someone has to do it, right? Not only that, Carmine’s always felt that the human body was a work of art; moreover, she feels people deserve dignity, empathy and skill when they pass over. No one agrees with her more than her mother Eldora , who respects her daughter‘s calling.

Gotta say - really proud of our boy, Kwame; most guys like him would give up once they were told they had to repeat a grade because they didn’t have enough credits, but he stuck it out. As a result, Mr. Fell tutored and mentored him; even helped apply for scholarships. Now he is the first recipient of the Brown Athletic Grant - a supplemental grant helping underprivileged athletes with living expenses and extraneous school expenses created by Hyacinth Atkins.

Good job, man!

It’s been a little lonely here for Miwa; there used to be a time she hoped she’d have Khem, but she’s come to accept the fact that he and Fetia are endgame and no way does she want to get in the way of that. On the bright side, being alone has given her plenty of time to get her test scores up, secure a full ride to Foxbury, and be named as a Feng Recipient.

From putting on fashion shows with her Papa (Joshua) in the living room with for her Daddy (Elias), Gladys knew she was destined to be in fashion. But designing wasn’t for her; she saw herself as more of a the driving force of things like fashion week and the Spring Edition at the top magazine. Gladys still doesn’t have it all figured out, but she’s confident her Feng Grant well help her figure it out and give her the tools to get there .

Is the only son of the Atkins family, a wealthy, well known family in New York City. His father is a famous plastic surgeon and his mother is a socialite so spent a lot of his childhood on the cover of magazines and being paraded around like a performing monkey.

Was a con man when he was young man, this was supposed to be an act of rebellion against his family. After being arrested one too many times, his father had enough and told him he needed to sort himself out.

Joined the NYPD with lofty ambitions of becoming an FBI agent but never quite made it and stayed a beat cop for most of his career.

Was sent to Greenview to clean up his act by his chief as he began to drink a bit too much and got into fights.

The last day of the Faire, the sky was overcast, with rumbles of thunder in the far distance. As Mayor Nat stepped up to the podium set up in front of town hall, a small crowd gathered to hear the announcement. She proceeded to declare Pandora Flowers as the winner of the costume contest, and withdrew the sword to present to the winner of the tournament, Morgan Vovk.

Before she could, though, Quinn Buckley from the commune ran up on stage and grabbed the microphone from the podium.

“Listen! You have to listen. This, all of this, is because of a being far greater than us! It sent the creatures from the woods to test us! To separate the weak from the strong. It judges us because it wants us to be ready before it reveals itself. We have to listen! We have to—“

Sheriff Henry attempted to take the microphone from her, but she struggled against him, still shouting into the microphone.

“It’s real! I felt its presence! Those that listen will be saved!”

Thunder rumbled, closer than before, much closer. A loud crack of lightning illuminated the sky, blindingly bright. Beyond the clouds, briefly visible in that split second, loomed a shape, unrecognizable and massive, both bulbous and gangly. As quickly as it appeared it was gone, and what remained was the sizzling body of Tristan Wilde, struck by the lightning. The sky opened up, then, as thunder boomed directly above, and rain and hail pelted the town.

“It’s there! You all saw it! It’s real! We have to submit!” Quinn wailed, as Henry attempted to pull her off the stage. “I can prove it! I can walk amongst them untouched! I’ve been chosen! You can be chosen too!”

Her cries fell away in the deafening downpour, and those that had gathered scattered to find shelter in the nearest buildings. Whether or not they saw something or, if they did, if they believe what they saw, remains to be seen.

The storm raged on through the night, as the creatures wandered the streets unperturbed by the rain and hail. The lights of the town flickered and then, as lightning staggered across the sky, everything went dark.

(Those that ran to find shelter found themselves stuck for the night. Below you’ll find the (randomly selected) groups. You can choose for your characters to have seen the shape in the sky, to have not seen it, or to have seen it and not believe it.

Everyone can continue/finish their event threads, as all this took place on the final day of the Faire (the 29th). Season previews: Gold Coast Suns (11th)

Last season: 15th (9 wins, 14 losses, 91.7%) Notable ins: Jed Walter (no. 3 draft pick) Notable outs: Mabior Chol (Hawthorn), Elijah Hollands (Carlton)

Is it too harsh to say that Gold Coast’s greatest contribution in their history is the extra game they tack on to the AFL’s multi-billion dollar broadcast deal? The other 17 teams might disagree only on the basis that the Suns occasionally act as a stud farm for grabbing established players to top up their own lists. The Suns year-after-year rank last in memberships, game attendances, TV ratings and the less scientific measure of ‘care factor.’  This is the landscape that confronts Damien Hardwick, their new coach who is not at all accustomed to operating off-Broadway. Does he see a realistic path to turning it around or, after achieving all there is to achieve at Richmond, is this a six-year mission in boosting his own superannuation balance?

‘Dimma’ famously said at his grand unveiling that 80% of their premiership list was already in place. Let’s go with him for a second and engage in the thought experiment: if you were to describe a Grand Final winning side, what would it look like? An above-average ruckman (Jarrod Witts), hard-nosed midfielders (Matt Rowell, Touk Miller), damaging ball-users (Noah Anderson, Ben Ainsworth, Lachie Weller), rock-solid defenders (Sam Collins, Charlie Ballard), a dominant key forward or two (Ben King and perhaps Walter) and some genuine X-factor (Jack Lukosuis, Bailey Humphrey). The math might not quite work out but we can at least follow the logic of Hardwick’s big call.

The new coach’s biggest challenge will be overcoming a culture of irrelevance. The Suns have never placed higher than 12th on the ladder and their best season is still a “what if?” scenario where Gary Ablett Jr busted his shoulder (that was ten years and four coaches ago). Attempts at responsible list management have been undone by stars wanting out, unproven youngsters being paid insane sums to stay and recruits signed to deals well above market rates to deign to play for the league’s consistently worst side. This post would well exceed its word limit if it went through every instance of these but take one: Rory Atkins was bizarrely offered a five-year contract to leave Adelaide in 2020 and has since played most of his football in the seconds.

All that aside, Hardwick should be backed in to improve the Gold Coast Suns. He is an excellent coach who came into a Richmond side that was all those years ago on its knees and we know what happened next. There is plenty of talent on a list that is crying out to be matched with a winning game plan and mentality. Expect an adjustment period but the Suns sleep-walked their way to nine wins last year and can be relied upon to do at least marginally better this season. Don’t bet your hard-earned money on it just yet but look forward to more than that in 2025 and beyond.

Beverly had just finished up her dance with Teddy. He had always been so sweet and kind to her and really it seemed like forever since they had spoken last... She just really didn't want him to think they were in a weird place with everything and a little dance helped solve that. That all being said, as she approached the edge of the floor and finally locked eyes with Elijah, all she could do was smile until she reached him.

“Were you watching? That was so much fun,” she laughed and wrapped her arms around his neck. It was funny, she still felt so flustered and blushed around him. “Some great memories right around here, huh?”

You had been there with the mikaelsons since the events that had happened in mystic falls. Kol had taken a liking in you. You had ended up dating then Jeremy had killed kol. After that you were with the mikaelsons to help them when they needed it. You were a ware wolf and a witch so you came in handy. They enjoyed your company as well. They didn’t just use you for your powers you just liked to help them. You had went to New Orleans with them.

The events that had happened in New Orleans with there mother coming back. Along with Finn and kol. You and kol had ended up having sex at some point. But you started to see that he had taken a liking in davina. So when you found out of your pregnancy you had kept it from him. And when Finn had killed him. You regretted not telling him.

Since davina had like kol she did everything in her power to bring him back. Kol still had feeling for you but he seemed to want to be around davina. So you avoided him. Still not telling him about his child.

After the events that had happened with marcel you and Hayley did everything to get what freya needed and now you had everything. You and Hayley had left Hope and your daughter Grace who was only about a year younger than Hope at the house while y’all brought back the mikaelsons. Helping freya with the spells and everything to bring them back.

Kol had tried to talk to you when he woke up but you just couldn’t. He wanted davina right? So he quit trying. As you all had got klaus and were on y’all way back to the house. You had thought about if you were going to tell kol that he has a child. You knew that they would meet but for all he knows you could have moved on.

Ariving at the house Hope and Grace had ran out to great You and Hayley. Grace speaking up when she notices everyone else. “Mommy who is everyone?” She questioned. “Well sweetie. You remember mommy telling you that me and aunt Hayley were going to get our friends. This is them.” You tell Grace as everyone is being introduced to hope. They watched you as well. Kols eyes were on you the moment the child had said mommy. “Everyone this is Grace. She’s my daughter.” You tell them. “Hello.” Rebekah says smiling at the child. Grace smiles back waving at everyone telling them hey. Kol didn’t say anything he just headed to the house. After everyone was introduced. You all headed into the house. You didn’t see kol when you first walked in. You decided to see if you could find him. You walked to the kitchen. There he was with a drink in his hand. Before you or him could exchange any words Grace came in asking if she could go outside with Hope and play. You telling her it was alright with you. After she had left your attention turned back to kol. “So where’s the father?” Kol asked looking at you. “It’s complicated.” You tell him. He nods his head. “So your not married or anything?” Kol asked. “Does it really matter?” You say back with some sass. Why would he care he’s the one that had moved on. “Y/n. Don’t be like that.” He says to you. “Be like what? Your the one that moved on so quick.” You tel him. “I did not move on it wasn’t like that.” He tells you. “Yeah well it sure seemed like it. You can’t say you didn’t have any type of feelings for her. I saw you kol.” You tell him. “Your the one who moved on. You have a child now. I didn’t love davina. I’m not going to say that I didn’t have feelings for her but I didn’t love her. I loved you. You kept pushing me away. So do not turn this on me.” He tells breaking the glass that was in his hand. “I didn’t move on kol. I pushed you away because you were always with davina. I was not going to stand there and watch the love of my life with another women.” You yell back at him.

“Oh yeah well you were apparently with someone else!” He says. “No I wasn’t Kol. Grace... she’s yours.” You tell him. He looks at you shocked. “That’s impossible.” He says shaking his head. “Yeah when you were in your body but when you were in the witches body. It wasn’t impossible.” You state. “W-what? No. Your lying.” He says to you. You look at him shocked. Tears pricking at your eyes. “Why would I lie to you kol.” You say. “I don’t know. Maybe because you never told me until now. So how do I know it’s true.” He says. You walk up to him putting your hand on his head using your magic to show kol that it was his child.

When you were done kol looks at you. “Why didn’t you tell me!” He yells angrier now. “Because... I just... I don’t know.” You say to him. “You don’t know? Of course you don’t. You don’t know anything. All you think about is what’s good for you!” He yells. Throwing something against the wall. “I’m sorry.” You tell him as the tears stream down your face. What had you done. Kol was about to say something before Rebekah walked in. “What’s going on?” She asked looking at kol then you. “Y/n had my child and didn’t even tell me I had one till now!” Kol yells. Rebekah looks at you shocked. None of the mikaelsons had known of your child. “Kol. I-“ he cut you off “do not say your sorry again. You bloody kept this away from me! You kept my daughter away from me!” He yells by now all of the mikaelsons had joined. Looking in shock at the fact you had kols child. “Kol. Now calm down before th-“ Elijah started but Kol cut him off. “No I will not calm down!” He yells not noticing that Hope and Grace had now joined. Grace clinging to your leg. Kol realizing that he had frightened her. Calming down almost immediately. He starts to move towards you and your daughter but she quickly runs off. Kol looks around before he leaves the room.

Kol was sitting on the porch watching as Hope and Grace played in the garden. You walked over sitting beside him. “I’m so sorry. I should have told you. I was. I was scared Kol. I didnt know what to do. And I thought you were with davina. And I thought that would have messed everything up. I just want you to be happy. I-I still love you.” You tell him. He doesn’t look at you instead he closes his eyes breathing in. “I’m sorry I shouldn’t have acted the way I did. Maybe it’s best if she doesn’t know I’m her father.” He says to you. You look at him shaking your head. “No it’s not. She needs to know her father. I just wish I would’ve realized that sooner.” You tell him. Getting up holding your hand out. Kol looks at you confused. “Come on you should properly meet her.” You tell him. He gets up following you into the garden.

“Grace. Sweetie come here.” You tell her. She looks at you and kol before cautiously walking to you. When she’s standing infront of you. You ask her “ remember what I’ve told you about your father.” She nods her head “You said he had to go away and that you weren’t sure if he was coming back. And that he loves me.” She tells you. You nod your head trying to think of how to bring it out. “Well sweetie he’s back and I’m sorry I didn’t tell you earlier but this is your father.” You tell her gesturing to Kol. Kol bends down. Hoping that he didn’t scare her to bad earlier. “Hello love.” He says to her. She looks at him the to you. You gave her a nod and smile. She smiles tackling him in a hug. Kol was surprised at first but soon wrapped his arm around the girl.

Soon the pull away and she grabs her fathers hand pulling him with her so she could show him “something” meaning she wanted to show him her magic. As the walk off you felt relived and happy that you had finally told him.

Lacy knew about Elijah in name only. She was waiting for Beverly to introduce them, so she was surprised when she almost ran into him.

“Oh! Mr. Atkins!” she exclaimed, before realizing how weird that may seem that she knew his name before he knew hers. She quickly ducked her head. “I’m sorry. I’m Lacy Torrance. Beverly’s cousin.”

Emi was an elementary school teacher by day, Broadway Actress by night 

She made her big break and left teaching to go be the lead in a big Broadway show. After that she went from show to show and doing what she had dream of since she was a little girl.

Things only got worse after they got married, he was physically and verbally abusive to her. She hid it very well and everything seemed normal to the average person.

When Eli transferred to greenview Emi felt so alone. He was her only escape the only person who really knew what was going on.

Emi decided after a particularly bad night with her husband that she was going to leave. She packed up her things and left the only home she has ever known.

Emi moved to Greenview to be closer to her brother and hide from her ex husband.

She gave up her dream of being on Broadway and went back to teaching to lay low in Greenview.

It was inevitable, in a town the size of Huntsville, that Dahlia had become acquainted or at least familiar with a lot of people; especially those who worked in professions related to hers. When it came to Elijah, she wouldn't necessarily categorise him as one of her closest friends, but she knew him as well as she did most public servants in town and she had enjoyed the conversations they'd had in the past. Most of which centred around being grateful for at least being stuck here with their spouse.

"So, what did you want to talk to me about?" she asked, taking a seat after they had exchanged the usual pleasantries. She offered him a small smile. "I'm kind of glad you called. I could certainly use a break from talking about what happened last week."
